With video becoming more and more of the marketing media, you need to know how to get more YouTube views to your videos, fast! Here are 7 ways for you to increase your YouTube views now in 2018!
7 Ways How To Get More YouTube Views
- Complimentary Content
What is complimentary content? This is when one video drives you to the next video on your channel. Ok, but how do I do that? For example, your video is talking about “how to keep your dog clean” and one of the things you mention is giving your dog a bath. Your next video would be “How to bath your dog without him running away!” As you recently mentioned this in your video people will naturally click on this video to see how you do it. Complimentary content.
Also, mention in the video that you have made a video on “how to bath your dog without him running away go check it out”. This will keep people watching your content and staying on your channel longer. This increases your channel watch time, which will help to increase your rankings and your authority within your niche on YouTube. Win-win all the way.
- Link Videos Together
One of the best strategies is to link your videos together, whether verbally saying, “Watch this video next,” or, “This video will help you execute on the strategy I’m sharing in this other video.” Try and think of your videos in series as opposed to one individual at a time and it will help you show up in Suggested.
3.Low Competition Keywords
If you’re under 500 subscribers, focus on keywords that are between 100 and 1,000 searches per month with low competition, meaning that the search pool is small. If you have some authority and you’ve been posting consistently and you’re building a community and engagement, you can then move on to topics that are between 1,000 to 15,000 searches per month it really depends on how much authority you build on your channel.
For example, I want to do a video on “how to cook lentils in a microwave.” It has 170 searches per month. I’m a brand new channel. I want to build my authority in the vegan cooking space. There are only 23,000 results. This is going to be much easier for me to get my video ranked number one in the search results. It will bring me the most views because you often don’t go past the first couple results when you are searching something on Google or YouTube. Two great keyword tools that are free to use as a Chrome plugin are Tube Buddy and Keywords Everywhere.
Getting your video ranked in a small pool, is really the key to driving more views. Focusing on keywords that have a solid search volume, depending on the authority of your channel, if you are a new channel, between 100 and 1,000 search per month, small search pool.
- Trending Topics
Try and talk about trending topics. As a new channel, you won’t easily be able to get influencers to guest feature on your site, but you can talk about and incorporate their latest content on your videos. For example, doing a product review or book review or top 5 things you learned from their latest book etc. By incorporating the title of the book and any of the content in it and any of the lessons that you learned from it, is a great way to do this.
- Create A Better Video Than Competitor
Make a list of all of the channels in your niche and go to their channels and pick out their most popular videos. Pay attention to what people like and dislike about them. What can you add? How your own experience makes you an even bigger expert on the topic? How you can create an even better video on that topic?
How do you creep up on your competition? Type in a keyword that is popular in your niche. For example, “how to cook vegan meals” is the full keyword. You will see all these channels come up. You can filter on the right-hand side by channel and you can see how many subscribers each of these channels have, how much authority they’ve built. Let’s look at any one of these channels and see what comes up.
You will see a list of the top channels and how many people have subscribed to them. Pick the channel you want.
Once in the channel click on videos. Go to most popular on the right-hand side and sort the videos by most popular. Then you go through these and write any topics that really resonate with you that you know you could do a great video on using your own expertise and experience. These are all topics that are performing the best on this channel and are being picked up and searched. This is a good clue to you as to some of the content that you can create.
- Get More Comments. How?
